No Black Friday Shopping for Me!!!
You may be like me – I don’t go out shopping on Black Friday. I experienced the mob scene one year and that was it for me. Give me a safe, computer online shopping experience anytime. No mobs to fight, no full parking lots, no long lines at the cash register.
Cyber Monday Sales!!!
The official beginning of the super online sales for the Christmas season starts tomorrow – Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday is the online equivalent of Black Friday. More than likely one of your favorite stores will be offering some sort of discount, such as:
- Free shipping
- Discounts
- Gifts with purchase
Some of the stores have already been running their Cyber Monday sales. BestBuy started their Cyber Monday sales this morning and when I checked on the XBox 360 game that my son wants, guess what! It was already sold out. It’s ok –- I get to keep on shopping!!!
Giving Something Back This Year!!!
This year instead of going to the individual sites, I will be going to the official Cyber Monday site and linking to my favorite stores from there. CyberMonday.com is the official Cyber Monday site for shop.org. All affiliate proceeds made from CyberMonday sales will be donated to the Ray Greenly Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships for individuals pursuing careers in the e-commerce industry. Ray Greenly was Vice President of Research and Member Services for Shop.org for almost seven years. He lost his fight with cancer in the fall of 2005.
If you are going to Cyber Monday shop, don’t forget that the official start of Cyber Monday is tonight at 11:59 p.m EST and don’t forget to go ahead and check out some stores to see if they have early Cyber Monday sales already going on.
