CVS Sales Receipt

First I want to say thank you to all who responded to the last CVS post. The advice that was given has helped so much!!!

My Second CVS Trip

This week I went back to my local CVS without the dear hubby. It was a much better trip. I went with one specific item in mind. After finding the item, I looked around the store. Without the dear hubby I could take my time looking at the products and become more familiar with the store.

My Sales Receipt

I’ve scanned portions of my sales receipt from the two trips. If you click on them, they will enlarge.

I’m not exactly sure what the portions that I’ve scanned mean. I think that they mean that if I buy 4 more candy bars, I’ll get one free. Also, I think that I need to buy one more Boost and I’ll get an 1 EB.

Also, on the Bayer/Aleve, if I buy 10.00 more, can I use coupons with the purchase? Does the coupons affect the amount needed to earn the reward?

The Extra Bucks Earned

The EB portion of the sales receipt was not scanned because that part I understand. I did earn $.50 on my purchase yesterday and I earned $1.00 on the previous purchase. This is sinking in on how to do this.

Thanks again for all your help and please comment to let me know if I’m correct in how I’m reading this.

You were right about the Boost and the Hersheys. On the Aleve you will have to buy enough to get at least $10 before coupon. You can use the coupon after you see that it is ten dollars. With the way CVS prices things you might have to buy multiple packs since they like to price things at $4.99 and say you need to buy $10 worth…which comes to three packs instead of the two it would have been if they priced it at $5.

I found your site via entrecard and I love CVS-ing! :) On your receipt, you are correct about Hershey’s. You need 4 more to get a free one. On the Boost, you’ve already completed that deal – you bought one Boost and that earned you some ECBs. “Quantity Toward” tells you what you’ve already bought. “Quantity Needed” tells you what you need to get the deal. Sometimes it makes sense – like the Hershey’s deal; but when it’s 1 for 1 than it can look confusing. On the Aleve, you need to buy $10 worth before coupons. However, you don’t have to actually spend $10. You can buy $10 worth, use $4 in coupons, and only pay $6 cash. The total value of the products, not necessarily what you pay, has to total $10 to get the ECB. And you can use other ECBs to pay for part of that total. So if you still have your ECB from the Boost, you can use that along with coupons to make your cash amount cheaper. I have a post on my blog called ‘A Simple Explanation of CVS-ing’ if you are interested.

It sounds like you are catching on to making the most of CVS’ deals. I really miss living in an area with CVS! I hope they will build them in Colorado soon because I really miss getting the ECBs.
