Sometimes with everything that is going on in our lives, we forget to stop and realize that there are good things in life!!!  If you listen to the news,radio, and the government, we are constantly being told that life is not so good right now.    Times are rough right now.  The economy is awful right now.  

There may not be anything that can be done to change the situations in our life, but the way that we look at things and react to them can be changed.   In our household we have made a decision that although times may be rough right now, we are going to keep on being positive.   We’ve let bills, the experience with the “scavenger” debt collector, health issues, and family problems try to steal the joy from our lives.  No more!!!  We actually spent most of the day yesterday with the television turned off and the telephones turned off.  It was wonderful!!!

Back in February,  I was nominated by Lilysgramma at My Heart Voice for the LIFE IS GRAND award.  With everything that is going on, I did not get the post made for this award at the time I was nominated.  If you haven’t visited her blog, it’s a must read!!!  She blogs about everything from cell phone safety to her favorite recipes. 

Now for the five reasons I think life is grand.

• Life is grand because I have a Lord and Savior who loves me unconditionally!!!
• Life is grand because I have a husband who loves me no matter what.  No matter what kind of mood I’m in, he loves me!!!
• Life is grand because I have two great kids who are growing up to be wonderful, responsible adults!!!
• Life is grand because I have a wonderful job and two great bosses!!!
• Life is grand because even though money is a little tight right now, we always get our bills paid on time and the Lord meets all our needs. 

Remember there is always something in your life that is grand!!!  Sometimes you just have to stop and look for it!!!

• Mariuca –Wishing on a Falling Star — Mariuca blogs about life, love, cats (no there’s not a theme here in my picks), food, and travel.  I love her blog and it’s on my daily list of must reads!!!
• Little People Wealth — Heidi blogs about how to save money.  She posts daily deals and weekly freebies (we love freebies!!!). 
• Lola’s Diner — Have you ever been to a virtual lunch counter?  If not, go to Lola’s Diner!!!  Current events, parenting, politics and recipes are all discussed here.  So grab a cup of coffee and head over there!!! 
• Yummy-as-can-be — If you have picky eaters or are looking for yummy, healthy recipes, this is the place for you.  This mom offers a wide variety of recipes using everything from crab to Wagyu beef.  Her dishes look YUMMY!!!!
