5 Ways We Plan To Save Money
It’s time to readjust the budget. Actually it’s time to get a budget on a computer spreadsheet instead of the notebook that we are using. We have to become more dedicated to tracking each dollar that we spend.

Some ways that we have decided that we can save money are:
1. Save money on gas by taking my lunch to work instead of eating out for lunch. Eating out can get expensive.
2. Make a grocery list and stick to it. Grocery shopping is not one of my favorite things. By making a grocery list and sticking to it, I can control what we are buying. Some day I may even get more dedicated to couponing.
3. Disconnect our land-line and use our cellphone as our main phone. Our land-line bill runs about $60 a month. By disconnecting the land-line and using our cellphone as our main phone, we can redirect that money to pay down the balance on another bill and eventually put that money into savings.
4. Make sure to turn the thermostat up before going to work. The temps here in Texas are already up in the 80’s and we’ve even had some 90 degree weather and yes we’ve turned the air conditioner on. When we leave for work, we need to continue adjusting the thermostat. We do not need to cool house while at work.
5. Cook more meals for supper. We still have a habit of calling in to delivery. By becoming more dedicated to cooking at home, we can cut the food budget. Delivery can get expensive!!!
I’m sure that once we actually track our spending habits that we will discover other ways that we can save money.
