I go one further I turn off unused circuit breakers and found it really does help on the ele. bill. I even turn off the water heater and have saved 40 a month since I started doing this. I did invest in the new green light bulbs but have found they only last 1 year not 7 like they advertise. It’s a big expense to replace these and I’m not sure the savings makes up the difference since they have to be replaced so often.

The thermostat does make a big difference. We have a programmable thermostat which makes it even easier.

all these little thins , so called energy savers, they do work, however they all require human intervention…..
now what if they were automated and you only had to set them once?
