Do you remember where you were when you heard the news of that fateful day? It’s a day I will never forget. I was substitute teaching in my son’s 3rd grade class. When we heard the news, we made a decision that they were too young to hear it from teachers and their parents should be the one’s to explain it to them. When I got home from school, my teenage daughter who had only known peace in this country came home from school terrified. Her world, like everyone’s, changed that day.
We lived in the country and I remember going outside that night and looking up at a sky that must have been similar to what my ancestors of long ago had seen. There were no planes flying, only stars. How eery it was!
I remember grieving for all the families that had lost loved ones. I remember the shock at realizing that our great country had been attacked. I remember the anger that I felt knowing that we had been attacked and life had changed for us in America.
Never forget! Always remember those souls lost in the Twin Towers, in the attack on the Pentagon, and in that Pennsylvannia field.

Every time I read articles and watch news about the 9/11 attack I always get goosebumps and I feel a rush inside me. It’s so sad.
I remember how I heard about it. It was early morning ( 5am-6am) here then and I was still sleeping when my cousin (who was insomniac and was very much still awake) came in to my room, woke me up and said “the twin towers just fell down”. I was like “okay, good morning to you too”. Then after a few minutes, the news sank in, I got up, went downstairs and watched CNN with my Mom and my cousin. *sigh*
Hi, you’ve got a nice blog! Very informative and emphatic too.
Keep it up.
Cheers!!!
