Today’s frugal tip of the day –

Always losing your earrings. Can’t tell what earrings you have because they are mixed up in a jewelry box.

Try using an ice cube tray. They are stackable and will keep your earrings and rings separate from your necklaces.

Till next time,

  1. Wow, that is a great idea! Thanks for sharing. I never thought of that and it would come in for handy for me as my necklaces always get tied up.

  2. silvergirl says:

wow.thanks for this idea, now my stuff will be intact with this ice cube tray.

  3. Badet says:

Great tip! I suggest using an ice cube tray with covers so that jewelries will not scatter in case it falls.

  4. Julie says:

Nice tip you got there, thanks. I will think of that.

  5. Mom says:

Ice cube trays are wonderful for sorting all sorts of things.

    – brads
    – buttons
    – jewels for scrapbooking

I love it because I can get them at the dollar store.

They’re also great for organizing the formidable junk drawer…

  6. Femmepower says:

    Hey,why didn’t I think of that? good idea. =)

  7. Thena says:

My daughter uses them to make homemade natural baby food. Purees fruit, vegetables. Put in ice cubes freeze, pop out and put in zip lock bags until needed.

  8. Ha never thought about using them for that. I guess if your into crafts or beading they could come in handy also.

  9. It’s a pretty good idea! I’m going to start also using them in my home office for paper clips and thumb tacks. If I really get ambitious I might even get my craft box organized and use them for my beads and scrapbook embellishments!
