A Little Bit of Heat
Since we are starting a new contest this week involving Green Chiles, I thought it might be interesting to give you some facts about Green Chiles.
1. Green chiles come from any of the varieties of chiles. They are harvested when they are still young and green.
2. As a green chile matures, ripens and changes color, the chile gets spicier and hotter.
3. The smaller the chile, the hotter the chile.
4. The younger the chile, the milder the chile.
5. It is the seed of the chile that is the hottest part of the chile.
6. Chiles are used in sauces, soups, stews, dips, appetizers, and numerous other dishes.
7. Some chile varieties are Poblano and New Mexico chiles.
One of my favorite things to use Green Chiles on is cheeseburger. My family loves Green Chile Cheeseburgers.
Tomorrow we will be announcing our new giveaway. Be sure to check back and see what fabulous package is being provided by Old El Paso through MyBlogSpark and enter the giveaway.
Till next time,

The Frugal Housewife

It’s a good idea to wear gloves when handling the peppers and be sure not to rub your eyes. I never did it but I have heard about how awful it is from others who have mistakenly rubbed their eyes.
I cant handle them but my husband will like this!
