It Really Is All In One Sheet!

Earlier this week I wrote about my opportunity to participate in SocialSpark’s Purex Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheet.  We’ve tried the product and this is our review.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Purex.   All opinions are 100% mine.  I received no payment for this post only product to try and review.

Purex 3-in-1

I’ve been seeing commercials for this product, so naturally when the opportunity to try it was presented to me I jumped at the chance.   When the package arrived and I opened the box that it came in, I could immediately smell the fresh scent of the sheets coming through the package.  I was so excited I took it around to my co-workers.  They couldn’t believe how fresh and good it smelled and I hadn’t even opened the package.

The sheets contain the following:   an entire load’s worth of detergent, softener, and anti-static.  How great is that!  You don’t have three bottles sitting around.  You don’t bottles that are leaking.  It’s just very convenient.

After reading the directions, we decided to try them out on a load of towels.  Why?  The instructions do tell you what to do in case of spotting and I did go on the net and read some occurrences of that happening.  Spotting on towels is not as bad as spotting on my work clothes.  So we did what the directions said.  We started the washing machine and dropped the sheet in, then loaded the washer with the towels.  The soap was activated and you could see the soap in the water as we were loading the towels.   When the washer was finished, we just took that towels out and put them in the dryer — 3-in-1 sheet and all.  The towels came out smelling good, no spots, and they looked fresher.

So we decided to try it on another load.  This time we tried it on jogging suit pants and sweatshirts.  We wash these in cold water.  The detergent was released during the wash cycle.  This time when we put the clothes in the dryer we noticed that the sheet still had the fabric softener and anti-static on it.   We weren’t sure if this was what it was supposed to do but we went ahead and put it in the dryer.  I went to the Purex site and found out that the dryer heat activates the strip and  releases fabric softener and anti-static.  The clothes came out clean and smelling fresh.

My husband went to Wal-Mart and looked at the price of the sheets.  We figured that they would be expensive.  We were pleasantly surprised when we found out that at our Wal-Mart the price for the refill package like I received was $5 for 24 sheets.

I got lucky and found these on closeout at Kroger. There was a coupon vending machine right there with $1.00 off coupons. The product was on sale for just over $4.00, so I got several boxes for just over $3.00 a box.

I have been pleasantly surprised, too. I love how well these work.

Good review! I also did a review and was happy with them– both with the smell and the price of the sheets.

  5. I can see a real advantage to these when I have to carry my laundry downstairs to do it in my landlord’s basement. Much easier than lugging a heavy bottle of detergent around plus a bunch of clothes.
