It’s 9:30 p.m. and the Schwan’s man is still driving around my neighborhood. It’s so perfectly quiet around here because I live in a semi- retirement community and my neighbor’s are older people.
Yep! He’s stopped at my house. Did I tell you … it was 9:30 p.m when he stopped? My landlord is going to have a field day with this tomorrow. Someone will complain (other than me!) and I will get a call.
I had an order ready…only one part of it got put in. Yeah I know it’s not a frugal buy! It was going to be my indulgence for the week. All I really wanted was the Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream. I would have really liked the ice cream over the Chicken Fried Rice but this time of night all he had left was my pre-ordered rice.
The Schwan’s man won’t be coming back by at 9:30 p.m. anymore. The frugal hubby let him know that it was against our community’s rules to come this late at night. In fact, he probably won’t be stopping here again. Man, I really wanted some of the ice cream!!!

That’s much better. Of course my comment won’t be as awesome as it was going to be last night because it’s a day later but it won’t suck, I hope.
The Schwans guy is to adults like the ice cream man is to kids. Except they cost way too much. But they come to your door, and I love them.
I forgot the rest but I’ll come back when I remember it.

Hmm, that’s a tough one. (Holds out imaginary scales of justice) On the one hand, he’s getting there pretty late by senior citizen standards but on the other hand the dude has ICE CREAM!
(Second imaginary scale falls to the ground in triumph) Ice cream trumps sleep any day of the week. Unless you’re 87 years old. Then I’d be pissed no matter how good the ice cream was.
That ice cream looks delicious! I wouldn’t care what time at night he called if he brought some of that!
Hands down, the Schwan’s man gets to keep showing up that late if he’s carrying loot like ice cream. Tell the old folks to sleep in late the next day. And by “old folks” I mean someone like me because everyone here and at Tribal knows I go to bed at 8:30, even no the weekends.
It’s always the right time for ice cream!
