Around the Blogosphere in A Day!

This past Friday I spent the day going around the blogosphere.  It’s a cheap vacation and it kept me from having to do the menial tasks of housecleaning.  There are some really great blogs out there!

It’s a subject that is somewhat near and dear to my heart, so naturally I’m going to visit frugal blogs!  It seems Joe over at Joe Taxpayer was having some mixed feelings about “Kiddie Roth’s”.  You see Joe’s 11 year old, Jane 2.0, had sent out letters introducing herself to a few local families offering her babysitting services and she had heard back from some of the moms which meant she was going to have “earned income”.  So naturally the “saving” word came up.

So seeing the word “saving” reminded me that I had to try and do something to curb our ever growing food budget.  Yes, folks, I’m trying to stick to the budget but somehow it’s just not working for me.  But Coupon Lady Online has got saving on groceries down pat.  She went on a shopping spree and spent $13.05 and got $49.59 worth of stuff.  How cool is that!  I’d just be happy if I could spend $13 and get $20 worth of stuff.  You know baby steps for me!

This sent me over to the “Cents” able Momma.  Like Coupon Lady Online, she always has the low down on couponing and there was the Coupon Insert Preview for 8/8.  Three coupon inserts were going to be in the Sunday paper (it’s too late if you didn’t get them this past Sunday but be sure to check out “Cents”able Momma later this week, she usually puts a Preview up).
