Frugal Pantry Tuesday — Leftover Turkey

5 May 2009 One Comment

This week’s Frugal Pantry scenario is:

You got hungry for turkey so you baked a great big beautiful turkey.  No it’s not Thanksgiving but there are times when it happens.

Your family ate a lot the turkey but since it was a huge turkey and you have a lot left over.  What are you going to do with it?  Feed it to the cat?  NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

You’re feeling creative.  So you look in the pantry and the fridge and see the following:

In the pantry:

extra wide egg noodles

brown rice

cream of chicken and herb soup

cream of mushroom soup

green chiles

macaroni & cheese

Mashed potato mix

green peas

green beans

a large can of veg-all

pimento

In the fridge:

rollout pie crust

celery

left over cornbread stuffing

mayo

cheese

What would you make?  I’d take the Veg-all, the cream of chicken and herb soup, the pie crust, and the green chiles and make a turkey pot pie.

We’d love to hear from you.  Leave us a comment and let us hear what you would make!!!

Till next time,
