Being Frugal Can Be Applied to More Than Money

11 October 2009 3 Comments

Sometimes writers of frugal blogs concentrate on the money aspect of everything.  In the past week I’ve also learned that you need to be frugal with your time.  So that’s what I’ve been trying to practice this weekend.  This weekend I’ve:

1.  studied my Bible.

2.  worked on the budget.

3.  looked through everything in the pantry and made a list of what needed to re-stocked.

4.  cleaned out the freezer.

5.  worked on graphics for my hubby’s new business venture.

6.  bleached all the counters.

7.  worked on a new website.

8.   washed clothes.

9.   washed dishes.

10.  cooked.

11.  made menu for next week.

12.  went to the grocery store.

13.  paid bills.

14.  relaxed a little.

15.  finished knitting another scarf and started a “Prayer Shawl.”

16.  cleaned out the office and rearranged everything.

This started yesterday around noon.  I’m a little exhausted (but in a good way!) so I didn’t drop on everyone who dropped on me in E-card.  Hope everyone understands.

Till next time,

Nice. That’s what I tried to concentrate on last week too and I can say I was successful in making more good use of my time than staying in front of my laptop for the whole days of the week. ;)
I was able to go to the bank, attend job interviews, re-read a book, watch my TV series, write scheduled posts, etc.

JT, my wife and I were just discussing the other day about how it seems we never have any time any more. I actually have to plan/schedule some family events just to make sure I have time for them.
