The Frugal Pantry #3

14 April 2009 2 Comments

It’s been a couple of weeks since we had a “The Frugal Pantry Tuesday”. Just to refresh your memory what The Frugal Pantry Tuesday is… I pick a meat and some ingredients from the pantry and you leave a comment what you would make out with some of the ingredients. Now I know it is late and past suppertime, but maybe it would be something that you would like to make another night this week.

So here goes…

This week’s “The Frugal Pantry” ingredients are: (drum roll please!!!)

From the freezer:

Beef Stew Meat

From the pantry:

Extra Wide Noodles
Beef Gravy
Macaroni & Cheese
Potatoes
Canned carrots
Green Chiles
Black Olives
A jar of Mushrooms
A can of Pinto Beans
A can of Green beans
A can of corn

What would I make?

I would use the beef stew meat, noodles, beef gravy and mushrooms and make a Beef Stroganoff. I would also use the can of corn and have corn as a side dish.

What would you make? Leave us a comment and let us know!!!

Till next time,

I would take the stew meat, the potatos, carrots, mushrooms, and throw it all in the crock pot with water and make a large stew.

And save the rest for later dinners.

I was thinking Beef Stew too! I’d use the Beef Stew Meat,Noodles,Beef Gravy, Potatoes, carrots, and Mushrooms. If I can cheat and grab some corn meal and flour from my pantry I’d use the can of corn to make corn bread in the breadmaker to go with it.
