Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I’m brand new to the process and I was excited to have a comment from a veteran and someone I didn’t already know.
Regarding curve balls, no one knows better than me how life can come at you a hundred miles per hour. Last March, my husband lost his job and he just started a new one (which he hates) today — almost a year later. In June, we had some major drama with our teenage daughter (much too personal to share here), and in July, my 18 year old son committed suicide. Not so ha ha, but we actually do laugh about it, we could not afford (I mean had NO CASH) his funeral, so we actually had to deviate from the Dave Ramsey payoff plan we had started and pooled five separate credit cards to pay for the burial and his plot. His headstone (and the two other plots we got — they had a two-for-one special, so we have one extra!) is financed. Can you believe that?! They will actually place it if/when we pay it off in the next two to three years. Meantime, there is a nice temporary one compliments of the funeral home.
The unemployment checks finally ran out last week and that means we are at critical mass in the finance department. We have gone round and round trying to decide if we list the house, rent it, or just hang on for dear life.
I have found that keeping a sense of humor is “critical” — sorry that just makes me chuckle. Laughing about anything and everything has been one way that I have maintained my sanity. It’s not the most reverent way to approach some topics, but it keeps me here.
Again, so nice to hear from you. You obviously understand this blogging thing and I am really enjoying looking around and getting ideas. I will definitely check out the other blog.
Hope to keep in touch.
Many blessings to you and your family!
In Christ,

Hi There! I LOVE your blog. I am a housewife as well. No kids yet but I try to stretch our dollar the best I can.
Add me to your distro so I can continue to read this.
Thanks
Salina
Hi JT!
Great blog, useful tips on saving money. I like your layout and gadgets on the sidebars as well.
Cheers
