Welcome to The Frugal Housewife!!!
My name is J. T. Locke. I started writing this blog in June, 2008. It didn’t really have any direction or goals but to only give tips on being frugal and to hopefully inspire others to get out of debt through my family’s struggles to get out of debt.
It’s now three years later and we are still in debt and we still struggle each month though not as much as we did in the beginning. I pray often about our financial situation and the blog and how I can use it to help others in our situation. The answer came in a new goal for the blog, a new purpose — to serve God and help others become a modern Proverbs 31 woman through the tips and stories of our journey. The tips will include everything from couponing to car repair to budgeting to owning a business.
Who am I?
A 47 year old wife who is the office manager for a small telecommunications corporation. Two grown children from a previous marriage and a grandbaby due in March.
A Christian since I was 13. Rededicated my life to God 8 years ago.
Why should you read my blog?
The Frugal Housewife is my outlet to help others. It allows me to post tips about what I’m learning on my journey to become a modern Proverbs 31 woman.
