One way to save money is to stop wasting so much. One area my family noticed that we are wasting in is not turning the thermostat up when we leave the house.
Usually we keep the thermostat on 75 degrees when we are at home. At night we turn it up to 77 degrees. It’s comfortable and turn it back down to 75 in the morning while we are getting ready.
But sometimes we forget to turn the thermostat back up before we leave for work. By forgetting to turn the thermostat back up, we are wasting electricity because the air conditioner will run and cool the house while no one is there. Our ideal temp to leave our thermostat on while we are gone is 80 degrees. The house will still be comfortable when we get home from work and it won’t overwork the air conditioner to get it cooled a little when we get home.
By turning the thermostat up when we leave in the morning, we will be cutting back some on our electric bill and saving money. What are some areas that you see that you are wasting money in and can cut back? Leave us a tip and let us know. We’d love to hear from you.
Till next time,
