3 Beautiful Modern Retro Kitchens

At some point and time, in the not so distant future, the Frugal Hubby and I plan on purchasing the double-wide manufactured home that we live in. It’s fairly new (about 10 years old) and is in very good shape. We’ve lived in it for the last 7 years and know “her” inside out. One of the first things I want to do is update the kitchen. Older manufactured homes come with what I call “paper cabinets”. She also has white linoleum floors. I’ve been looking all over Pinterest and the ‘net to find ideas for remodeling the kitchen. Today I came across retro/modern kitchens. I like the look. Here are three that I really like. Tell me what you think.

1. Turquoise and Red Modern Retro Kitchen

I love this kitchen and it is a top contender for how I am going to redo our kitchen.  My kitchen has about the same area.  I never thought about turning the island the way they have and I think maybe that would work in our kitchen.  The glass tiles are beautiful!  Two things that are already in this kitchen that we had planned to put in our kitchen is the black cabinets and wood floors.  The quicker I can get rid of my white floors the happier I’ll be!

2.  Turquoise Metal Retro Kitchen

The color “turquoise” must be calling my name. I’m gravitating to them in most of the pictures I’ve found. This kitchen has metal cabinets and I’m not sure how I feel about that. We’ve also talked about using white subway tiles for the backsplash. It would look good with these cabinets but I couldn’t go those floors.  They are white and I’m really tired of having white floors.

3.  Modern Retro White

Okay I know that this kitchen is mainly white but that’s okay.  There are NO white floors in this kitchen and the blue isn’t turquoise but kinda baby blue.  It has the white subway tiles that I like.

The clear winner for me in this category is the first one.  It has everything on my must-have list.

Let me know which one is your favorite!

Till next time,
