3 Ways to Save on Halloween at Dollar Tree

One of our favorite stores to shop to get affordable Halloween decor is Dollar Tree.

We don’t have a very big budget ($10 or under) to spend on decorations and candy.

Dollar Tree fits right into the budget because everything is $1.00, both in the store and online at their website — DollarTree.com! You usually have to buy in bulk when you shop at DollarTree.com but you can get Free Shipping to your Local Store.

Before we start buying any of our Halloween decorations, we always visit DollarTree.com to see what decorating ideas they have on their Halloween Headquarters page. You can also get some great decorating ideas on Pinterest.

Here are three ways we found to save money on Halloween at Dollar Tree.

1. Dollar Tree Halloween Decorations DIY

Halloween decorations can get expensive. One way to save money and not break the budget is to find a Halloween decorating idea and make it yourself.

We look for ideas that require six simple items or less and don’t require a long time to make.

The supplies can be found at any dollar store! It takes four items. Some of the items you may already have!

This Halloween village started out as a Christmas village that can be found at most dollar stores, including Dollar Tree! Village pieces and spray paint are all that are needed to make this scary Halloween village!

Another idea: Have some Christmas pieces that have seen their better days? Don’t throw them out! Recycle them into one of these Halloween villages.

2. Bags of Halloween Candy and Candy Serving Dishes

Since everything is just $1 At DollarTree, it’s a GREAT place to stock up on Halloween candy and candy serving dishes!

There is a wide assortment of candy in different Halloween shapes and sizes. Please remember that the stock in each store may be different.  The stock in the stores depends on what they receive on their trucks.  This means that what you see in one Dollar Tree store may not be in another store in the same town.

3. Halloween Crafts DIY

Perhaps you are not going to be able to throw a big Halloween party this year because of the pandemic but still want to do something for Halloween with the kiddos. Why not have a family Halloween party and make some DIY Halloween Crafts?

These ideas can be found on the DollarTree.com blog! We love these ideas because they have an instruction sheet complete with a list of what you will need. Since everything is a dollar at Dollar Tree, you can estimate the cost and stay within any budget you may have set.
