MINI CLOCHE WITH PEDESTAL BASE {made by repurposing items}
This is one of our favorite frugal decorating projects!
It takes things that you have around the house that you may throw out or get rid of and combines them into something that will compliment your home decor — a mini cloche!
All you need is a knob, candle jar, saucer, and candlestick holder to make this cloche.
It is the perfect re-purpose project. If you don’t have any of these items, you could check the thrift store. They usually have most of these items for sale. You may even find them at a yard sale.

PAINTED WOOD SLICE PUMPKINS
This project brings a bit of farmhouse style into your home by taking a wooden plaque and turning it into a pumpkin!
Now you may be wondering where exactly you are going to find a wooden plague! You can find them at the craft stores, on Amazon, or at the superstore.
But if you cut your own wood for your fireplace, you could take one of the smaller logs and cut them into 1 to 1 1/2 inch rounds and save some money by making your own! This frugal decorating idea is a great way to also get rid of any leftover paint.
Along with the wood, you will need Orange and Brown Acrylic Paint, some wooden sticks, and floral wire to make these cute painted wood slice pumpkins. Just be sure to take this outside in the fresh air to spray paint.
These painted wood slice pumpkins would look great in the family room by the fireplace, on a bookshelf, hanging in the laundry room, or by the front door. They can be reused each year and probably would only need a fresh coat of paint every couple of years.

RUSTIC FALL CENTERPIECE TUTORIAL
We think this may be one of our most favorite fall frugal decorating tips because it takes things that we have around the house and re-purposes them into something that we can enjoy for several more years.
We will definitely be making this project for our dining room table.
For this project, you need a tall cylinder glass jar, a regular-sized mason jar, and a small glass jelly jar. If you don’t have any of these, check out any of the local thrift stores or dollar stores. They usually have them in stock.
The other items you will need are:

- Craft Paint
- Stencil Brush
- Hot Glue Gun

EASY ACORN WREATH
This easy DIY project gets the kids involved in making it.
You will need a lot of acorns for this project!
This is what you will need to make this project — LOTS of acorns, a straw wreath form of your choice and size, a hot glue gun and extra glue sticks, and satin or burlap ribbon for hanging the wreath.
By picking up your own acorns instead of buying pre-bagged ones, you can save money and at the same time create a beautiful home decoration.
So get the kids out there with you and go for a walk. Here are some ways to make it fun while getting the kids to pick up the acorns for you!
- Pack a picnic and go acorn hunting.
- Make a game out of which kid can pick up the most acorns.
- See who can pick up the most light colored acorns.
- Hold a race to see who can get to the next tree the fastest.

Fall Decorating with Hurricane Vases
This fall home decor DIY idea is one of the easiest home decorating tips that we have featured in this post! It is a simple craft that doesn’t involve any spray paint or a sewing machine.
All you need for this project is dried beans, dried lentils, popcorn kernels, a glass hurricane vase, and some twine. That’s it!
You can completely transform the look of the vase and give it a fresh look by changing out the beans and adding different colors to the vase.
This creative idea is not limited to one room but could be used all over the entire house. It would look good on a mantel, a coffee table, in the master bedroom, or even on the counter in the bathroom.
If you want to reuse the dried beans, dried lentils, or popcorn kernels, I would suggest giving them a good wash before using them.

GOLD BURLAP WRAPPED CANDLES
If you thought the last DIY Fall Project was easy, you will love this one! You only need candles, burlap, gold spray paint, twine, and a glue gun for this one. Flameless candles would work GREAT for this project!
Even better, the glue gun and twine are optional! If you use the glue gun then you don’t need the twine. If you use the twine then you don’t need the glue gun. Love it!
